​Margy Hymel

Teaches at Mt. San Antonio College

Mrs. Hymel is a full-time professional violin teacher and concert violinist with over 25 years of experience. She earned a Masters degree in Violin Performance and Teaching in 1998. Margy has been teaching at Mt. San Antonio College since 1999 in addition to her home studio of private violin and viola students. Many of her students highly excel and have distinguished themselves by winning positions in the Claremont Young Musicians Orchestra, the Colburn School Orchestra and the Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestra where Margy performs as first violinist. Her students have been selected as “American String Teachers Association” regional competition winners. Four of her violin students have won the honor of appearing as recital soloists for the “Music Teachers Association of California’s” annual convention.
