What you'll learn in this soap making class:

Want to know how to use the Cold process soap making method to create soap completely from scratch? Well, this class will explain you A to Z cold process soap making, so that you can create beautiful handmade soaps right in your kitchen. Oh, and don’t worry about your experience level, it really doesn’t matter. This class ranges from beginner to advance. So, whether you are a complete novice or a soap making pro stick around, have fun and may be you will learn something new about making soap at home. Class is hands-on and dress accordingly. Material fee payable at the time of first class. Class hours: 3 hours.

By the end of this class:

Students will learn step by step how to make soap from scratch
Students will learn different types of soap bases, colors, scents, aromatherapy oils and essential oils.
Students will learn how to make chemical free herbal and natural soaps.
Student will learn how and where to buy soap making products
Student will learn how to make gift soaps, gift baskets and possibly start their own business

FACE COVERINGS REQUIRED: Face coverings are required inside buildings and on public transportation regardless of vaccination status.

WINTER INTERSESSION GUIDELINES

ON-CAMPUS STUDENTS: This Winter Intersession (starting January 3rd, 2022), students engaging in on-campus activities (including in-person lecture and lab classes, sports and services) must be vaccinated against COVID-19.

A $12 processing fee is charged for each class refunded.

No transfers. No makeup sessions for missed classes.

Registrations are non-transferable. If we cancel a class we will notify you and a full refund will be issued.

No refunds are issued for the Phlebotomy program, and Makeup Artistry program.

The instructor Abdul is very knowledgeable about the cold process soap making. He answered all of our questions and made the class an enjoyable experience. We were able to start with hands on learning on the cold process soap making and were allowed to experiment with our own "secret" ingredients to our soaps to make them each original creations.

The class was very informative! I wondered how to properly calculate the amount of oil that was needed in a recipe and how to come to those amounts. I didn't know what a "moisturizer" was in soap and now I do. Professor Quayum helped me understand the science behind the creation which is the main reason I took the class. Now I can get to the next level understanding what I'm working with.
