In our Game Design and Development course, students learn basic video game coding concepts by making different types of games, including racing, platform, launching, and more! Students will learn about the different genres of games and how computer science is redefining the entertainment industry. In the process, they learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively — essential skills for everyone in today’s society.
At the end of this class, students will learn:
Students learn the following STEAM lessons
Storytelling: Students use games to tell fun and interactive stories. Storytelling emphasizes creativity by encouraging students to tell a unique story through game development.
Music & Sound: By integrating music and sound into their games, students learn the basic concepts of multimedia design.
Arts: Students create animations, interactive artwork, photograph filters, and other exciting, artistic projects.
Design: Students learn how computer science and technology are used in the design while building realistic game scenes similar to professional games.
Sports: Students use game development skills to simulate sports, make their own fitness gadget commercial, and create commentary for a car sporting event.
Technology: Students learn basic video game coding concepts by making different types of games, including racing, platform, launching, and more!

Children pick up words fast and we understand this so we ensure our instructors act and speak professionally yet simple enough for kids to begin to familiarize the terms in technology very early
