Jason Ramos

Teaches at Borough of Manhattan Community College

Jason Ramos began his career teaching technology classes in 1997. The classes included Microsoft Windows NT, Office 97, Microsoft Outlook, and Lotus Notes. In 1998, Mr. Ramos became a computer consultant and worked for several banking and insurance companies such as Bankers Trust, Metlife, Deutsch Bank, and JPMorganChase. Mr. Ramos’ career has now settled with Travelers Insurance, where he has served as an Information Systems Consultant for the last 5 years. In addition to his knowledge and credentials in the field, Mr. Ramos has a knack for explaining technology to students who are intimidated by computers and software. He feels that BMCC has given him the opportunity to pass on his experience to students who are enthusiastic about learning the new Office Suite applications. His educational background includes a Bachelors of Science in Business from the State University of New York at Albany, a Professional Certificate of Computer Networking from Columbia University, a Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) certification, and various Microsoft certifications.
