Samuel Merritt

Samuel Merritt is New York's first Certified Cicerone® and he spent a decade selling and teaching great beer with the Craft Brewers Guild and the Brooklyn Brewery. In 2006, he founded, Civilization of Beer, the beer education consulting company that is actively closing gap between beer studies and wine studies in the pro beer community and returning beer to its proper place at the American table. He began teaching Beer 101 at ICE in 1998.
