Working as a Casting Director for 23 years Holly Powell witnessed thousands of auditions and her work is prolific. She had the unique opportunity to witness the casting world from 3 different points of view: as an Independent Casting Director where she won an Emmy Award and The Casting Society Of America’s Artios Award; as a Studio Executive serving as Senior Vice President Of Talent And Casting at The Greenblatt Janollari Studio; and as a Network Executive at CBS holding the positions of Director Of Casting East Coast and Director Of Casting Movies And Mini-Series. 

We are thrilled to have Holly come in to conduct her audition technique workshop where she takes the actor through the “Pre-Read” with the Casting Director, the “Callback” for Producers, Reading for Studio Executives, and “Testing” at the Network. Holly reads with the actors as the Casting Director setting up “mock” auditions that simulate the real audition process. The other actors sit in “acting as” the Producers to experience both sides of the audition. All auditions are on camera.
