What you'll learn in this bls class:
This American Heart Association course teaches high-quality Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for adults, children, and infants, along with the Chain of Survival for Healthcare Professionals. The important early use of an AED and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants is emphasized. Basic Life Support (BLS) is the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. Students learn completely in person in a combination of video driven lectures, followed by a hands-on session, and final written and skills testing before earning their CPR certification.
Prerequisite: Students must bring the 2020 BLS for Healthcare Providers textbook to class AND be cleared to come to campus by having both COVID vaccines prior to July 4, 2022. Current BMCC registered students can borrow a textbook from the Paramedic department.
School Notes: Please don't forget to bring a valid ID. Students registering on or after the first day of class shall be assessed a non-refundable late registration fee of $10.00.

Refund Policy
Tuition refunds are calculated in accordance with the Tuition Refund Policy for those students who officially drop a class or classes during the first three weeks of the semester. Fees are not refundable.
- Drops prior to the first day of the semester: 95% Tuition Refund
- Drops during the first calendar week of the semester: 75% Tuition Refund
- Drops during the second calendar week of the semester: 50% Tuition Refund
- Drops during the third calendar week of the semester: 25% Tuition Refund
- No refund after the third calendar week of the semester.
Tuition will be refunded 100 percent for those courses which, at any time, are cancelled by the College. Failure to attend class, merely giving notice to the instructor, or stopping payment on a check is not considered an official drop or withdrawal.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
