Adobe InDesign Bootcamp

Bring your creative ideas to life with Adobe InDesign, the professional page layout standard, used by designers and production professionals to design, preflight, and publish a broad range of documents such as brochures, catalogs, magazines and books. 

InDesign allows you to lay out and design multiple page documents. This workshop is designed to get you up and running with Adobe InDesign in one day. The focus will be on step-by-step instruction leading participants through the most important tools and concepts in InDesign.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have learned the basics in InDesign such as how to create a new file, set up master pages, place images, format text, link text boxes, use layers, and create print ready files. They will also learn the basics of typography and page layout design.

Preparation

• You will need access to a laptop or computer with a working webcam and microphone as well as a strong internet connection.
• This course will occur completely online using Zoom and Slack.
• Course set up information will be emailed to all students signed up around 24 hours before (and again an hour before) your course launches.
• This is an introductory workshop designed for first time and beginning InDesign users. No prior experience with InDesign is required for this class. All participants will need to have Adobe InDesign Cc already downloaded on your laptop (Mac preferred) for the start of class. 
  
• Participants will be sent a class outline prior to the start of class.
  
• General computer knowledge is required.

Registered students will be notified 24 hours in advance of this program with information on how to log in to the Zoom Meeting Room and other tools you'll need for the session. Registration for this class will close 2 hours prior to the session start in order to allow all students ample opportunity to have the technology enabled.
