Michelle & Suzanne Rousseau, Kerry Diamond

Teaches at 92nd Street Y

Jamaican-born sisters Michelle and Suzanne Rousseau established their culinary reputation with the debut in 1996 of Ciao Bella, a groundbreaking Kingston restaurant that created a paradigm shift with its artful use of Jamaican ingredients and classic cooking techniques. The restaurant was a manifestation of many years of travelling and living in the Caribbean and Europe, and a curiosity for playing with a medley of cultures and influences.

Kerry Diamond is the co-founder and editorial director of Cherry Bombe, the biannual indie magazine about women and food, and host of the weekly Radio Cherry Bombe podcast. Also, she is owner/barista-in-training at Smith Canteen, a coffee shop and bakery in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. Previously, she was an editor at Harper’s Bazaar and Women’s Wear Daily.
