Fondazione Italia is a non-profit organization that promotes teaching Italian language and culture courses in Southern California. They work closely with the Italian Consulate and offer programs for K-12 schools, extracurricular classes for children and adults, and support for Italian language teachers.

Fondazione Italia is a California 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1998 for the purpose of promoting the teaching of the Italian language and culture across Southern California. The organization receives grants from the government of Italy in support of its mission, and it works in close collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy in Los Angeles and the Education Office at the Italian Consulate in San Francisco.
Our main activities include supporting the creation and/or growth of Italian programs in K-12 schools, offering extracurricular Italian language classes for children and classes for adults, supporting and promoting the AP Italian Language and Culture Exam, collaborating with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing to offer the Italian CSET to teachers, organizing seminars for teachers of Italian and supporting the activities of the Italian Resource Center at UCLA.
