Gretchen Bear has been a landlord for over 15 years and also owns a successful property management company. She is currently writing an on line university curriculum on property management. In her many years as a land lord and property manager, she has not had a tenant miss even one month of rent! Her basic belief is this: While there are many variables to contend with, there are as many controls that will allow for a successful land lording experience. Gretchen’s approach to being a landlord is rooted in the importance of a respectful tenant-landlord relationship. Being a small-time landlord can be very rewarding with the right tenants and the right attitude. As a veteran instructor at South, Gretchen loves teaching her continuing education students!
