Washington Flower School is the Washington DC area based floral design school.
We offer classes and workshops designed specifically for aspiring designers. We are dedicated to mentoring new students just starting their careers, as well as developing skills and concepts needed to meet professional floral industry standards for all levels of floral designers. We are an education partner of American Institute of Floral Designers and our classes can be served as a pathway to become a member of AIFD.
Our classes are sometimes individually offered especially around holidays often with light meal functions, sometimes a series of number of classes based on a theme (e.g. Elements of Design, Wedding Flowers, to name a few). You can take one class or take them all. Students who attend all classes in a series will receive a certificate of successful completion.
Whether you take the classes for personal knowledge or a desire to become a professional floral designer, all our classes have something to offer anyone interested in the Floral Arts.
Our instructors are qualified and experienced in the industry, including Jeanne Ha(founder, instructor, owner of Park Florist, co-owner of Rolling Ridge Floral Design), David Shover(founder, instructor), Terry Godfrey(instructor), Ellen Seagraves(instructor), Emmi Bergmann(instructor, co-owner of Rolling Ridge Floral Design, school manager).
The school, founded by David Shover and Jeanne Ha, has provided quality career education in Washington DC Metro area since 2010, with various hands-on workshops.
