What you'll learn in this watercolor class:

This class is designed for those who want to work together to fine-tune their skills in watercolor in a studio setting.  We learn a tremendous amount by painting together, seeking advice, and working with other artists.  Although all levels are welcome, including beginners, we will gear the class for those who have worked with watercolor before.

What to Bring

Paint: Bring whatever paint you prefer to use.  Here is a minimum suggest list.

  • Yellow: Cadmium Yellow  
  • Red: Cadmium Red
  • Blue: Ultramarine Blue 
  • Green: Sap Green 
  • Browns: Burnt Sienna
  • Neutral: Payne's Gray 
  • No whites or blacks are necessary. 

Brushes: 

  • #8 and 10 or 12 Round 
  • 1.5 or 2" flat   

Paper:

  • Use a block or pad of good quality cold press watercolor paper, like Arches 140 lb.  
  • Use a mixed media or watercolor spiral sketchbook for practice.  

Palette:

  • Bring a white palette to mix your paint. Any white tray or watercolor palette with mixing wells works well.  

Misc supplies: 

  • Masking tape 
  • TWO watercolor jars 
  • Pencils, eraser 
  • White cloth or paper towel 
  • Support board to tape paper to; foam board works best

Refund Policy

When class/workshop enrollment is below the minimum three days prior to the first day of class, the class may be cancelled. If there is a cancellation, we will contact registered students at least 2 days before the start of the class/workshop by email or by phone.

We will offer students the option to transfer into another class or receive a full refund for the amount paid.

Classes are not refunded due to failure to attend class, planned absences, minor illnesses, or vacations.

If you drop a class:

  • If you drop a class at least 8 business days before it starts, you will receive a 100% refund minus a $20 administrative fee.
  • If you drop a class between 7 to 2 business days before it starts, there are no refunds. At this point students may receive a class credit if the school is able to replace your seat with another student before the start of class. If this is not possible, crediting will not be offered.
  • If you drop a class on or after the class start date, no refunds or credits are possible.

Transfers:

  • If you transfer to from one class to another class of equal value or more, there is no administrative fee.
  • Otherwise an admin fee will be charged for transfers.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
