What you'll learn in this teacher training course:

KOKORO Yoga Teacher Training is an immersive 12-day training program covering the fundamental strategies and tactics of the KOKORO Yoga™ training system. This training focuses on the principles introduced in the book KOKORO Yoga by New York Times bestselling author Mark Divine and head yoga instructor Catherine Divine.

The Kokoro Yoga Teacher Training Program is rooted in the tradition and philosophy Yoga as taught by Patanjali and Krishnamacharya, formatted for a modern Western audience. The goal of the training is for you to enhance your personal practice while learning to teach the basics of the breathing, visualization and meditation exercises, functional poses, select martial arts and exercise movements unique to Kokoro Yoga.

You will gain a deeper understanding of how to address the physical, mental and emotional needs of your students and complete the program empowered with the tools and techniques needed so you may lead others through the Kokoro Yoga methodology.

Head instructor Catherine Divine and founder Mark Divine will be the key facilitators for this immersive 12-day training program.

This school is certified and registered through the International Yoga Alliance and exceeds the standard requirements.

There are 30 hours of anatomy online that must be watched for your certificate of completion. You are required to attend all sessions during your time at the training unless previously discussed with staff.

Schedule: Each day will commence with a 6:00 AM morning practice and conclude at 6:00 PM

Training Location: Most of the training will be at the Soul of Yoga (627 Encinitas Blvd. Encinitas, CA) with the last few days a few miles away at the Soul of Yoga Institute (162 S. Rancho Santa Fe Rd. Suite A70  Encinitas, CA)

Refund Policy
Refund Policy for Training Programs: 

Notice of Cancellation or Withdrawal from any training or portion of training must be submitted in writing or email. Students canceling registration prior to attending first day of training will be liable for: 1) the non-refundable deposit valued at 25% of total tuition and 2) payment plan administrative fees when applicable. Students withdrawing from training prior to completing 50% of the training program will be liable for: 1) withdrawal fee of 50% of total tuition  2) payment plan administrative fees when applicable 3) A La Carte tuition for all courses taken. Students withdrawing after completing over 50% of the training program shall be charged 100% of tuition for that program.

Refund and Reservation Cancellation Policy for Training Course/Module/Sessions:  

Notice of Cancellation or Withdrawal from any training or portion of training must be submitted in writing or email. Students cancelling registration more than 45 days before the first day of training are liable for 1) the non-refundable deposit valued at 25% of the total tuition 2) payment plan administrative fees when applicable. Students cancelling registration less than 45 days before the first day of training are liable for 100% of the a la carte tuition for that program and a $25 late cancellation fee. In some cases the student may be able attend the training at a later date although the Soul of Yoga cannot guarantee this privilege. The course may not be rescheduled, the teacher may not return, the teacher may not grant permission, the course may be full and/or other events may occur which will prevent The Soul of Yoga from granting a reschedule. Reschedule permission is granted on a case by case basis.
