The TIG Welding course teaches students the basic principles involved in the set up and safe operation of the Tungsten Inert Gas process. Class will be lab/lecture style with opportunity to take notes, ask questions and receive hands on operation of the machines. Students will learn how to adjust the machines, strike an arc and join material as well as how to tell the difference between a good weld and a sub standard weld. The students will also learn how to troubleshoot problems associated with the process.
A $10 materials fee covers each student’s metal stock and welding consumables.
