Attended: Beginner's Watercolor Painting: How to Paint Tree

Class was great. Painting techniques were broken down into easily understandable movements we watched and then practiced on 3 different trees. Variation welcomed and feedback on each of our pieces. Really worthwhile.

Reasonably good introduction to mixed media. Positive teacher but could include more technical information for students.

The class at the MET with teacher Jordin was wonderful. Jordin was very informative and patient with any requests from the students. It was also great to visit new galleries throughout the course to learn more about the Museum while learning new skills.

It was wonderful to take the opportunity to draw, with a group at The Met. The group were very warm , and welcoming. It’s extremely intimidating to pull out your pencils and start to draw in such an esteemed location. Claire our instructor, eased us into the process, starting with blind contour drawings. The use of abstraction, is a great tool to ease expectations and give you the confidence to continue working and practicing your mark making. The 2 hours flew by, and some people decided to stay and continue the process after the class had finished. Thank you Claire for the encouragement and advice. I would highly recommend this class.

Really enjoyed this class and learned a great deal. Laura Habian was wonderful and explained things so well and was very encouraging. Definitely recommend this class and will look for others that are similar. Watercolor isn't something you can master in a few classes and I want to learn more. Thank you, Laura! Karen

Attended: Beginner's Drawing at the MET

I took the Beginner's Drawing at the MET class in August 2022 and really loved it. Just in 4 2 hour classes, we learned the basics of drawing figures, faces, different drawing techniques, and tricks. Our instructor - Jourdin - was amazing, so patient, so encouraging, extremely knowledgeable, and easygoing. Just the whole experience of drawing at MET is incredible. You finally have time to look at the art pieces you like for a long time, attempt at drawing them, get the feedback and support you need as well as admiring looks of people who pass you by. I highly recommend this class.
