The instructor (Berta) was great. Unfortunately, due to Covid 19, our last class was cancelled.

The COVID crisis impeded completion of this class. But from the 1st of the 3 sessions, Berta is a true expert & very good & patient w/us beginners. Can't wait for the 'shelter in place' to lift so I may finish my course.

Berta is an expert knitter and very patient with all her students. I enjoy and look forward to going to class each week.

I would not recommend this class to someone who is just looking to try something new and to meet new people or if you would like to take part in a relaxing and potentially fun, new hobby. The teacher was very impatient and at times frankly rude. Although there were lighter times in the class (if you got the method right) the general tone is very generally discouraging. So much so, that I opted out of going back the third time to avoid being embarrassed and criticised in front of a room full of strangers. Having to pay for new materials for each new item that you made was also a negative, although understandable.

Berta is a wonderful teacher and the class is very informal and personalized. I signed up for an annual pass with her as well!

I loved the knitting course. Berta (the instructor) is extremely patient and has a good way of explaining the concepts so that you can remember how to do it when you are practicing on your own. The assignments in between class are designed so that you have plenty of practice so that you can get comfortable learning what is new. The store is absolutely beautiful! The location is central to everything and easy to get to. I looked forward to attending my classes every week. I was so excited about the course that I think that I told all of my friends that I was learning how to knit.

I'm a slow learner at crafts and have some physical limitations. Berta was NOT patient with me, allowing her frustration to show. She didn't supervise properly or notice I'd made a major mistake in my first crochet. Now I have started over to unlearn what I wasn't taught. To be fair I missed the last class which was on Easter Saturday and I had to work.

In three lessons, I learned quite a lot. Berta went over the slip knot, single crochet, double crochet, slip stitch, a v stitch, and a traditional granny square. I'm quite satisfied with the different things I've made and plan to continue.

I had my first class with Berta and I am actually knitting now! She was patient with me, even when I made (many) mistakes. Additionally, the class was small enough that I was able to get tons of individualized attention and help. The yarn shop is also beautiful and filled with quality yarn and needles.

Great beginner course. Berta is great. It seems her goal is that you walk away with a project which makes its seem very worth while. Berta reviewed 2 basic stitches, a new sticht (V): my project was a Granny Square and i finished off with one that looked really good.

This is a great way to learn knitting! You get a lot of personal attention, and the pace is fast but manageable - it encourages a decent amount of practice between sessions so you really get the hang of it. The one thing I'd want people to be aware of is that if you don't have any knitting materials already, the materials cost adds up to about $120 over the three sessions. However, I really enjoyed this class and would highly recommend it / go back for others!
