This was a delightful class. A brief history of the art, an introduction to techniques and a chance to make your own.

Loved this class. Mustapha is a wonderful teacher. So much fun and learned a lot. The small class size gave everyone a chance to make two pieces. Was just as interesting to marble the paper as it was to watch others. I look forward to taking more classes with him in the future.

The instructor was very knowledgeable, thoughtful, patient and kind — we had plenty of time to try out different techniques. Super fun class!

The information & technique involved are fascinating but the instructor is there to give information too. He should have given us a handout with all the materials needed & written instructions on how to make the water necessary for it. Additionally, he needed more than 2 water trays for the 15 people, since it takes time to make a painting experimenting with the technique, & only 2 people at a time can have a turn, meaning some people waited til the class was almost over. It also takes time for the paper to dry and more information about this & perhaps where to purchase materials could be given such as websites & stores. But it was an interesting & fun class! I’d recommend it.

Mustafa was an excellent instructor. He was patient and modeled several different designs for us. By the time my friend and I got up to try it on our own I felt very confident in my abilities. I am very happy with the Ebru art I created during the class and hope to do more on my own.

Super enjoyable and such a great intro to Turkish culture and Ebru marbling. The instructor is passionate about this art and is patient with all of the participants. I highly recommend this course for both adults and children. At the end, it was such a treat to have Turkish tea and drink it while learning about book culture and the Ottoman empire, brought me back to when I visited Istanbul.

Loved learning about Ebru. Mustafa is a fine instructor and I hope to attend another session at some point.

Very calming and fun. Go with a friend.

Extraordinarily beautiful two hour class. Mustafa slowly explained the history and tools used for the “face of water”==Turkish watermarbling as we nine participants were able to snack on great popcorn, tea, and coffee.
He demonstrated the possibilities for the colors and designs creating three paintings. We then each were able to do one on our own although he would help with pulling the paper off of the water if one so desired. Definitely, a course I will return to with friends.
-
Would have liked smaller class size to allow for us to make more than one painting. Some colors ran out by the time we got to paint, so probably a little more paint next time.
-
Great introduction. Small-size class. Earnest, kind, soft-spoken instructor. Turkish tea and cookies served.
-
I would have liked an opportunity to make more than one piece of marbled paper.
-
Nice small class with a bit of history. Everyone got a chance to make a design and take it home. Enjoyed some turkish tea and cookies while artwork was drying. The teacher is very soft spoken and patient.
-
I like this class. Learn something new. Had chance to make a beautiful art picture

This class was so much fun while being educational and zen like.

I really enjoyed the class, water marbling ebru art is fun and allows you to use your creativity to produce unique and beautiful artwork. Highly recommend the class !

It would have been nice to have had more than one practice but was an excellent experience and the teacher was great.

My wife and I loved this class! Mustafa was a great host and hands-on teacher who was was happy to answer any questions we had about the style of art (including how to do it on our own at home) - and all over snacks and Turkish tea too. If you are looking for a nonstop class of water marbling, look elsewhere, as the class is limited to one pan and one print per student, but if you want a fun, warm introduction to Ebru, look no further.

The class was very calming and zen like. The instructor was clear on the history of Ebru. Would take this again.

Mustafa is very knowledgeable about ebru. He gave us a little history of the art. Next he demonstrated several techniques. Then the fun part. We each made our own marble paper. There were a dozen students in the class. Everyone had a different way of adding and stirring the paint, yet each paper came out wonderful. I would highly recommend the class.
