I felt that it was very basic (Good for the people in the class with no prior sewing knowledge. Bad for me because I did have prior, though rusty, sewing knowledge). I took the class hoping to learn some new techniques but I really didn't feel that I learned anything new. Exposure to the serger was interesting but if you don't have one at home, was it really a meaningful technique for most of the people in the class?

I learned the basic idea of alterations. Definitely should have basic knowledge and beginner's practice sewing with a sewing machine, but the instructor was super helpful in preparing the thread and sewing machine for me and taught me a little how to use it for what I needed to do, so no need to be worried or scared about entering without any experience. It helps, though.

Very helpful and practical, and all of us walked away with some knowledge of at least a starting point for altering clothing ourselves at home. The instructor was very nice, the only con is that one student was hogging the professor a bit more than other students, and the two hours flew by so i felt the rest of us did not get as much hands on help compared to the one student.
