Class Description

Description

What you'll learn in this watercolor class:

This class will introduce the materials and techniques of water media painting including watercolor, gouache and acrylic. Students will gain practical knowledge of water based paint to achieve a wide range of effects (washes, opaque marks, dry brush, hatching, etc.) Vadnais will demonstrate how to take advantage of the quick drying and layering potential of the media. Students will learn how to properly varnish, store and care for their finished artwork.

Besides the environmental and personal health benefits of a solvent-free working environment, water media offers great flexibility to suit one’s artistic vision. This class is suited to all levels. Previous drawing experience is recommended.
