Color Theory for Floral Design - Online
Reviewed by Carson G. on 3/18/2021
A great integration of theory/science of color and practical use with actual flowers. Highly recommend, whether you are pursuing certification or just enjoy making arrangements for yourself and friends. I learned a lot of new information, and gained a scientific basis for what I'd previously held as intuitive preference. The Zoom platform enabled attendance from far-flung places, but limited our experience of our classmates' work to photos (static image, amateur lighting an photography). Since two of the key lessons are about background and lighting, there was a similar tradeoff: at home, with a week to do homework, we can find/create good backgrounds, but smartphone photos and amateur lighting can't really show you the arrangement. Homework review was anonymous; this lessened nervousness, but I would have liked to hear from my classmates about their inspirations and why they made certain choices, and been able to share my dilemmas and ask for suggestions.
