Engage in discussions around works of art by renowned artists and respond to contemporary issues through art and writing activities. Join us in using art as a means to combat hate and promote understanding.
Consider how art can be used to address challenging issues such as antisemitism, racism, and other forms of prejudice and bias. In this full day workshop, educators will view the short documentary film, Change the Name, meet with the filmmaker, and engage in discussions around works of art by Trenton Doyle Hancock, Mel Bochner, and more. Participants will also respond to contemporary issues through art and writing activities.
In this full-day Educator Workshop, engage in discussions around artworks that address challenging issues such as antisemitism, racism, and other forms of prejudice and bias, including works by Trenton Doyle Hancock, Mel Bochner, and more. Participants will view the short documentary film Change the Name, meet with the filmmaker, and respond to contemporary issues through art and writing activities.
Light breakfast and pizza lunch will be served.
