Wally Skalij

Teaches at Los Angeles Center of Photography

A natural journalist by heart accompanied by an artistic eye has lead Wally Skalij to receive numerous awards such as being named “Photographer of the Year” six consecutive years by the Press Photographers Association of Greater Los Angeles. Working as a Los Angeles Times staff photographer for over ten years, covering world events from fashion in Paris to war in Iraq, has given Wally the ability to adjust to any given situation. The Olympic Games in Beijing was Wally’s fourth Olympic Games coverage. Wally teaches workshops in photography and believes in giving back and helping students further their education.
