What you'll learn in this ux class:

As technology changes and more media outlets compete for customers’ time,providing an enjoyable experience is critical to both attracting and keeping users. This class aims to demystify UX by giving a practical and simple introduction to what UX is while also explaining some of its core concepts of usability. This is a field that affects all areas of business — prepare to dip your toes into an ocean of new concepts and ideas that will enlighten your perspective on the human-computer interaction experience.


  • Practice the design thinking methods and strategies that lead to successful products.
  • Understand how UX fits into your team's workflow.
  • Gain knowledge of the terminology of UX Design along with useful tips and resources (i.e. How to become a UX Designer).
  • Hands-on exercises including: research, scenarios, personas, card sorting, user flows, prototyping, and user testing.
  • Practice your collaboration, brainstorming, and sketching skills.


  • You will need access to a laptop or computer with a working webcam and microphone as well as a strong internet connection.
  • This course will occur completely online using Zoom and Slack.
  • Course set up information will be emailed to all students signed up around 24 hours before (and again an hour before) your course launches

Remote Learning

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.

Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

School Notes:
For students enrolling in 12 week part time and immersive classes, it is not recommended that you book more than one class simultaneously.

Hi there, you'll be using the laptop for online resources during the class. However, there is no program that needs to be downloaded prior to the beginning of class.
