What you'll learn in this windows training:
In this three-hour session, you will gain the skills essential to using a Windows-based computer effectively, including working the mouse and keyboard, using the Start menu, working with windows, creating and saving documents, creating new folders and the basics of using software programs and browsing the Web.
Prerequisites
This class is designed for new computer users or those new to a Windows-based computer. No prior computer experience is necessary.

Exploring the Computer
- hardware; a look at the parts and ports
- memory vs. storage
- starting up the computer
- point, click and drag
- double-click
- right-click
- the Desktop icons
- Start menu and Taskbar
- opening and closing windows
- moving and resizing windows
- minimize, maximize and restore
- switching between open windows
- changing views
- navigating local and network storage locations
- creating new folders
- renaming, moving and copying file
- sending to and restoring from the Recycle Bin
Using Programs

Refund Policy
- You may cancel or reschedule a class registration at least 8 business days prior to the class without incurring any penalty.
- After 8 business days, we may charge a penalty of up to 100% of the registration cost.
In the event that an instructor or the school needs to cancel at the last minute, students will receive a refund less a 5% non-refundable registration fee.
