Beginner American MahJongg

Come learn this historic game of strategy, logic, and luck--MahJongg! You'll learn gameplay basics, history, and how to play defense. This is an in-person course, be prepared to enjoy learning collaboratively by playing the game with other students.  

The course begins with the history of MahJongg, then you'll learn how to understand the tiles and by the second class, you'll begin playing the game while learning gameplay structure.  During the third through fifth classes, you'll learn game variations, how to understand the MahJongg card, and how to play defense. This course involves collaborative learning in which students practice among themselves. 

Lectures are very engaging and interactive!  

$10 materials fee is paid directly to the instructor to cover the cost of the National MahJongg card you will receive upon successful completion of the course.

IMPORTANT: For campus/in-person classes, vaccination proof and masking in classrooms is required for adult and kid students and staff.
