What you'll learn in this coffee class:
Do you want to learn how to make the perfect cup of coffee? Let Black Coffee LA teach you how! In this aromatic and interactive coffee brew lab workshop, you’ll learn the science and art of grinding and brewing the perfect cup of coffee, using a handful of different at-home brewing methods.
French press, Mr. Coffee, Chemex--which method is the best for you? Through hands-on training, you’ll learn the basics of hot and cold cups. As a bonus, you’ll enjoy tastings of a few of Black Coffee LA’s delectable blends and brew methods showcased as part of the class. You’ll even learn how to make cold-brewed coffee the correct way. Iced coffee is so 5 minutes ago! Who wants hot coffee poured over stale freezer ice? …no thanks. You’ll be provided a reusable cold-brew coffee kit to take home and enjoy the sweet benefits of cold-water coffee brewing. This class takes place onsite at Black Coffee LA, a real-life small-batch air-roasting coffee facility. You’ll see how they air roast their beans to perfection!

Refund Policy
Please choose your classes carefully. No refunds issued unless a class is cancelled by El Camino College. Electronic credit vouchers in the amount of the class registration fee less a $20 service fee per class will be issued upon requests received no later than 3 full business days before the first class meeting. Electronic credit vouchers are applicable toward a future Community Education class and are valid for 3 years. Special policy for excursions and special events: Refund requests for excursions and special events must be received no later than 2 weeks (10 full business days) before the scheduled excursion or event.
Requesting a transfer
To transfer to a different class date or course, requests must be received at least three full business days before the first class meeting. A $10 service fee per class will apply. Please call CourseHorse at 212.729.4088.

As you enter Crafted, turn right to the right-hand corner for the Meaning-Full Art studio! You'll see the big beautiful water marbling trays and flowing fabrics ready for your class!
Take the I-405 S/San Diego Fwy. Transition to the I-110 S/San Pedro. Take exit 1A for CA-47 toward Vincent Thomas Bridge/Terminal Island/Long Beach. Take the Harbor Blvd exit. Continue on N Harbor Blvd to your destination on your right. (Look for the vintage wherehouses with Crafted and Brouwerij West brewery signage).
