What you'll learn in this pottery class:
Learn the basic techniques of pottery. There are four class sessions in the Beginner's Workshop. You will learn to center the clay on the pottery wheel, hand placement and techniques to make a bowl, cylinder, or a cup.
You will learn how to trim your piece and the glazing process. You will learn hand building and how to use the extruder.
All students have access to the studio to practice.

Absolutely worth the money. You basically become a member of the studio for the duration of your class, but without the need to pay for any supplies! You have full access to all the wheels, as much clay as you can possibly need, and you can make as many things as you have time for! You can come early, and stay hours after class ends. My only note for future students is to schedule your classes during the cooler months! I took class during the summer, and the studio isn't air conditioned and they keep it at 70% + humidity, so it was a bit exhausting. But I'd recommend it to anyone in the area looking to get into Pottery! This class is really what you make it, with tons of freedom to create whatever you want to, and the instructors to help you get there.
