What you'll learn in this jewelry soldering class:

Measure and follow the steps required to make 3 sterling silver stacking rings

• Measure your metal
• Form metal using a mandrel
• Prepare a proper joint for soldering
• Safely use a torch
• Solder a basic butt joint
• File, sand, polish, and texture
• Chemically oxidize non-ferrous metals
• Use a flex shaft

Beginner class. The perfect class to learn to solder. Measure metal. How to use a mandrel, along with prepare the perfect butt joint for solder. Use a flex shaft. Texture, file, sand, polish.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Bring a sack lunch. This class includes a 1-hour lunch break. A refrigerator is available for student use. Bottled water is provided.
Studio Rules: Closed-toe shoes are required. Do not wear loose clothing that could get caught in rotary tools. Wear long hair tied back.

Students who cancel between 25 hours and 71 hours prior to the start date of a paid class/workshop will get a partial refund of half the paid fee, in the original form of payment.

This class was SO much fun! I came in with zero background in metalworking and left with 3 beautiful rings that I made. The facility is amazing but the instructor is even better. She made me feel welcome and was very patient in explaining all of the processes and helping me through the tricky parts. I will definitely be back!
