Regine Gilbert

She started her career in Design as a Fashion Designer and evolved into working in corporate information technology before returning to the world of design. She is passionate about accessibility, design and technology.

Phil Bolles
Phil is a Senior Experience Designer at nclud who loves researching, prototyping, and building out engaging experiences that serve users well. He has a strong background in code and visual media, which he utilizes in his core UX skills. Having worked for many corporate, nonprofit, and startup clients, he appreciates a wide variety of methodologies -- especially a fast-paced, lean approach to design. When he's not nerding out about aspect ratios, Phil shoots photos, wakeboards, and drinks light-roast coffee. Phil has a BFA from the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU.

In recognition of his exemplary service in the classroom, Phil has been selected as a member of General Assembly's Distinguished Faculty program.

Joe Formica
Passionate about creating products that solve real problems, Joe has worked with startups and enterprises alike to design everything from web and mobile apps to smart TV interfaces and software platforms.

In addition to his UX and design work, Joe also leads startup and product based workshops at New York area colleges, and teaches a full-time entrepreneurship curriculum at Fordham University.

In recognition of his exemplary service in the classroom, Joe has been selected as a member of General Assembly's Distinguished Faculty program.

Sofia Khan
Sofia conducted her first user interview on her sisters at 9 years old when her parents gave her first dual deck recorder with a microphone. She has since fell in love with researching and interviewing people to discover their core needs and beliefs across various careers such as Counseling, Sales, Marketing and ultimately User Experience (UX) Research and Design Strategy. Sofia has worked with as well as managed teams to provide service to over 100+ national and international clients across the Entertainment, Financial, Government, Marketing, Non-Profit, Retail and Tech industries. Some of her previous clients have included BP/Arco, Cisco, HP, Heineken USA, National Restaurant Association, Wellington Management, One97 (India), Cisneros Media (Venezuela) and lifetime clients: her own mom and dad. Her leadership/training philosophy, "guide the heart vs. manage the mind," has helped her gain repeat business from her clients as well as earn the respect of her peers. When Sofia's not working, she's out dancing, hiking in the woods, enjoying improv comedy, trekking back to her Chicago hometown or concocting wireframes at a local hackathon.

In recognition of her exemplary service in the classroom, Sofia has been selected as a member of General Assembly's Distinguished Faculty program.

Ulrich Boulon
Ulrich grew up on a sunny island called Guadeloupe, ultimately graduating with a MA in sociology & web culture and a MSc in innovation, strategy & entrepreneurship.

He has spent the last 5 years of his career developing the user experience and product design from the brief, and envisions spending the next 5 years leading it. From design-thinking to first-in-class seamless user experiences, to lean or Agile implementation with an extreme passion to communicate, apply user experience methodologies, as well as pioneering innovations across a customer centric storytelling.

Ulrich has been honoured to work with prestigious companies including Google, UBS, Viacom, Virgin, Sainsbury’s, Youtube, BBC, Burberry. Moreover, he's a startup co-founder and part-time UX design instructor at General Assembly, aimed at building a better present through knowledge-sharing and coaching.

Finally, he doesn’t claim to have authored the description, but managing the intersection of strategy and design is how he aligns all his creative work in products, experiences, and communications.

His favourite quote: The “future is now”! Simply because it belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
