Matt has been fortunate to experience many facets of theatrical expression during a twenty five year career in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

As an actor, Matt has performed for intimate storefront audiences, on the stages of grand opera, alone under a spotlight, out of the back of a touring van, and in the heat of a summer stock barn. Matt has lent his voice to numerous national advertising campaigns and video games. Matt first started work as a casting director in 2005 with Big House Casting in Chicago, since then he has worked on a number of commercial and theatrical productions.

Matt works to demystify the casting experience, to help students cut through nerves and expectations, to understand the business in order to relax into their true strength. As a teacher, Matt is intent on exposing the masks we all wear, on cultivating awareness that will allow the actor to uncover impulses and free the individual imagination.
