Annie Novak & Kristen Schafenacker

Annie Novak is co-founder of Eagle Street Rooftop Farm, founder and director of Growing Chefs field-to-fork education program, and Manager of the Edible Academy. She has farmed in nine countries, learning local and traditional approaches to agriculture. Kristen Schafenacker has farmed for the last eight years in rural, suburban, and urban communities and worked with both non-profit programs and for-profit businesses within the field of sustainable agriculture. She most recently spent four-and-a-half years managing the farm operations and programs for Added Value, an organization based in Red Hook, N.Y.
