Treat Mom right (and thank her for putting up with you all these years), with a truffle-making class paired with floral arranging with the experts from The Roof Crop!
You'll create classic hand-rolled truffles with our guidance. We'll group you with other like-minded chocolate lovers, and each one of the 3-4 groups will design a truffle recipe completely from scratch. No stress - we make it fun and delicious! You'll taste 4 types of chocolate, hear about our truffle-designing process, then learn how to properly mix and heat a chocolate ganache. You'll create, measure, chill, scoop, and roll truffles to completion. Everyone will leave with a sampling of the truffles created that day (approximately 8-12.)
As if that isn't enough fun already, we're bringing in the folks from urban farming legends The Roof Crop. They're going to take a break from installing native rooftop gardens and bee sanctuaries on buildings across Chicago, and show us how to build a beautiful arrangement for mom with their sustainable florals. Did we mention they make + deliver flower arrangements to some of Chicago's best restaurants?
